I chose the MMB program because of NC State's partnerships with biotechnology companies in the Research Triangle Park area. It is no contest that this hub of research, pharmaceuticals, and technology is the perfect location to pursue a career in biotechnology. I plant to build my repertoire of skills as a Research & Development Intern or Scientist for a company in the RTP area and gain as much hands-on experience as possible.  My goal is to solve large-scale world problems and make a significant impact on science, whether that is in genetics, microbiology, or drug therapeutics. Pursuing a path in biotechnology presents a myriad of opportunities in the world of science and I am not limited to what I can accomplish.
