Career Objectives

I chose the MMB program because of NC State’s strong partnerships with biotechnology and life sciences companies across North Carolina. With a growing biotechnology presence in both the Research Triangle and the Piedmont Triad, the region provides an excellent environment to pursue and develop a career in the life sciences. I plan to continue building my skill set toward becoming a scientist while gaining hands-on experience supporting laboratory operations, process development, and product quality within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. My long-term goal is to contribute to solving complex scientific challenges and advancing innovation in areas such as microbiology, genetics, and biopharmaceutical development. A career in biotechnology offers the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to human health and environmental sustainability while continuing to grow as a scientist.
